MWC LIVE : SAMSUNG GALAXY S6 #DTTNEWS

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge has finally launched at MWC 2015 event. The flagship Galaxy S6, as well as the S6 Edge, unlike the plastic body of previous flagships, feature an attractive body made of Gorilla Glass 4 and metal. The Galaxy Edge as the name suggests, sports a dual edge display. 

As for the specifications, both the S6 devices feature a 5.1 inch QHD Super AMOLED display with 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution and 577 ppi pixel density while the latter sports curved display on both left and right edges. Both phones are powered by 64-bit 2.1 GHz Exynos Octa-core processor coupled with 3 GB of RAM and run on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with TouchWiz UX on the top.

On imaging front, there is a 16 mega pixel on the rear with optical image stabilization and a 5 mega pixel camera on the front. Besides tracking AF, auto real-time HDR, f/1.9, IR detect white balance, low light video, high clear zoom, virtual shot, slow motion, fast motion, pro mode, and selective focus, camera features also include “Quick Launch” which allows the user to access camera from any screen within 0.7 seconds by double clicking home button.

Based on storage, the handsets will be available in 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB variants. Galaxy S6 packs a 2550 mAh battery while S6 Edge comes fueled with a 2600 mAh battery, both featuring wireless charging support.

For the Galaxy S6, it tipped EUR 799 (approximately Rs. 55,200) for the 64GB variant, EUR 899 (approximately Rs. 62,100) for the 128GB variant.The Galaxy S6 Edge curved screen variant's 64GB model is said to cost EUR 949 (approximately Rs. 65,600), and the 128GB model EUR 1,049 (approximately Rs. 72,500).
