Registrations for Yu Yureka’s second flash sale on January 22 begun last week. And now, the company has announced that it is shutting the registration window on Amazon India today at 2.00PM.
Interestingly, those who had registered for the first sale but failed
to buy the phone will be automatically registered for the second sale.
Those who hadn’t, can fresh register on Amazon India before 2.00PM here.
Last week, 10,000 units of the Yureka were sold out in 3 seconds. In addition to the stocks running out at a blink of an eye, the first flash sale was marred with issues like
the site crashing. Some users reported that the site showed them an
error message the moment they refreshed at 2:00PM. Others, who were
lucky enough to add the phone to their shopping carts, reported that the
site crashed on the payments page and the handset had disappeared.
Last week, we also reported that users were able to buy the device
in the wee hours of the night sans registration or flash sale. Only
registered users will be able to participate in this week’s sale. There
is no word on the number of units available this time around.
To recap, the Yu Yureka has been launched in India for Rs 8,999. As
for specifications, it flaunts a 5.5-inch HD IPS display, and is powered
by a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor with 64-bit capability and
paired with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone also features 16GB internal
storage that can be further expanded using a microSD card.
Furthermore, the smartphone also features a 13-megapixel rear camera,
5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2,500mAh battery. On the
software front, it runs on CyanogenMod OS 11 based on Android KitKat.
