Yu Yureka repeats history, and goes out of stock in 4 seconds on Amazon
India during its second flash sale today. The company had put 15,000
units up for grabs in the sale.
For this week’s sale, the company had not announced the number of
people who had registered for the sale. Last week, the company had put
up 10,000 units on sale with more than three lakh users registered for
it. As you would expect, the sale was over in a matter of three seconds.
Yu had revealed last week that those who missed out on buying the
handset would be automatically registered for today’s sale, and this
could have been an added factor for the devices running out so quickly.
If you’ve missed out on buying the device, put yourself on the
Waitlist, and hope that someone who got lucky the first time decides to
not purchase the device. In that case, Amazon will then transfer the
unit to the Waitlist members, who will then have 15 minutes to decide if
they want to make the purchase or not.
To recap, the Yu Yureka has been launched in India for Rs 8,999. As
for specifications, it flaunts a 5.5-inch HD IPS display, and is powered
by a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor with 64-bit capability and
paired with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone also features 16GB internal
storage that can be further expanded using a microSD card.
Furthermore, the smartphone also features a 13-megapixel rear camera,
5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2,500mAh battery. On the
software front, it runs on CyanogenMod OS 11 based on Android KitKat.
